Kadali Bhanda (Banana flower)- 1 Medium Size

Aalu (Potato) – 2 Medium Size

Baigana (Egg-plant/Brinjal) – 2 no.

Bilati Baigana (Tomatoes)- 1 Medium size

Piaja (Onion)- 2 Medium Size

Teja Patra (Bay Leaf)- 2 no

Luna (Salt) -To taste

Bay leaf – 2

Ada (Ginger) -1 inch
- ·
Rasuna (Garlic) – 10 cloves
- ·
Harad Dali (Pigeon Pea, Arhar Dal) – 200 gm
- ·
Haldi Powder (Turmeric Powder) – 1 tea spoon
- ·
Lanka Gunda (Chili Powder) – 1 tbsp
- ·
Jeera (Cumin)- 2 tbsp
- ·
Dalchini, Gujurati Gunda (Cinnamon and
Cardamom Powder) – 1tbsp
- ·
Sorisa Tela (Mustard Oil) – 5 table spoon

Coriander Leaves – A few stands finely
chopped
How To Cook
- To start
with, peel off the outer layer of Banana Flower(Kadali Bhanda) and take
out the layers.
- Cut the
banana flowers into halves, Eggplant (Baigana) and potato ( Aalu ) into
small cubes.
- Finely chop
the onion (piaja ), ginger ( ada ) and peel of the garlic ( rasuna )
cloves. Make a fine paste of the finely chopped onion (piaja), ginger
(ada), garlic ( rasuna ) and jeera ( cumin ).
- Finely chop
the tomatoes.
- Wash the
Arhar Dal (Harada dali) and Pressure cook the Dal, Potato (aalu) slices,
Eggplant/brinjal (baigana), salt(luna) and turmeric powder(haldi) and keep
it aside.
- Fry Bhanda
(Banana Flower) in a deep pan and drain out water from it. Heat oil in a
deep pan and add bay leafs (teja patra), chopped onion (piaja).
- Then add the
finely chopped tomatoes (bilati baigana) to it and fry.
- After 2 mins,
add the paste made of finely chopped onion (piaja), ginger (ada), garlic (
rasuna ) and jeera ( cumin ). Fry a bit more.
- Add Bhanda
(boiled banana flower) to the paste and cook for some time.
- Now add
boiled Arhar Dal(harada dali), Potato(Aalu),eggplant(baigana)with Banana
flower(bhanda) and cook for 5-7 mins.
- Then sprinkle
the garam masala and serve it.
